Jackass star, Johnny Knoxville, has to use a catheter twice a day. This is not something that is publicized openly, and for a Hollywood star, it surprisingly hasn’t seemed to hurt his career at all. So why is it that a daredevil such as him, and pure maniac in my opinion, would need to use a catheter, and twice a day? He looks healthy enough, and is really fit. But an external image can hide internal damage, and this guy is well known for not treating his body like a fine piece of expensive china.
As we have said, Knoxville is a bit of a thrill seeker. Best known for Jack Ass, where he and his friends defy death for a laugh, he constantly places his body on the line for entertainment. But he wasn’t the first to do so, and won’t be the last either. And it was during a tribute to one of the best known daredevils that ever lived that he found himself on the end of a pee tube twice a day.
Knoxville was left with this unfortunate obligation and chore following a stunt in 2007. In the stunt he was supposed to ride a motorcycle up a dirt hill, as part of a tribute to Evel Knievel, but lost control of his bike. The bike shot up into the air and landed on his groin tearing his urethra. I’m surprised that he wasn’t left castrated and wienerless, but I guess he was lucky, if you can call it that. But at least he’s still alive, right?
Knoxville was bedridden for weeks following the accident and now has to carry around a catheter wherever he goes.
..about 15 inches long and the size of a number two pencil. It’s to keep the scar tissue from constricting down there.
