Are ants lazy? On first thought you’d probably say, “you gotta be kidding me, they’re among the hardest, most productive workers in the entire world.” But have you ever sat down and looked at them, I mean really studied them. Every moment of their hectic lives, from dawn to dusk and all night long. If you haven’t you’re not alone. But guess what? Someone actually did this, and presumably got paid to do so. I really have to start looking for a new job.
So let’s get to the crux of the question. Are ants lazy? You better believe it. Like an episode of a reality television show, what we see is only a small section of their entire day. And like an episode of say, Big Brother, they actually just sit around most of the day. Yeah, they really do, and there’s more.
How ants are lazy… The truth be told
Ants actually exhibit some very human behavior. Just as we do, when they wake up they also stretch. Yeah, I know that’s not exactly a lazy trait, but keep on reading. They spend a lot of time just sunning themselves, hours actually. When they go to sleep, they don’t just lay down anywhere, they make a comfortable hollow in the soil. But I can still hear many people saying that that doesn’t constitute laziness Well instead of working, they also engage in mock wrestling and fighting matches.
When we watch ants they do seem very busy, but how many of us have actually sat down and studied them?
