Jackie Chan starring in Adult film, All in the Family in 1975

Martial arts action star, Jackie Chan, starred in a Adult movie in 1975. Not only was he in a Adult movie, but it remains to this day the only movie he has ever been involved with that doesn’t include a fight scene or a stunt sequence.

We know that Jackie Chan is famous for performing his own stunts, and it’s not uncommon for actors to simulate sex scenes in their movies, but Adult is a whole different ball game. In Adult it’s the real thing in front of a camera, while in mainstream movies it’s simulated to look like the real thing. That’s simulate, not stimulate, which is what Jackie Chan ended up doing when he starred in a Adult movie in 1975. So what was it that drove Jackie Chan to a Adult movie? Was it his first ever role as was the case with Sylvester Stallone, or were there more over riding circumstances involved?

Jackie Chan began his acting career at a very young age, making several small appearances from the age of five. By the time he was eight he started to make more frequent appearances in movies. But even though the roles were becoming more frequent and slightly larger, he was only still a small time actor, scoring only insignificant parts. His first big opportunity came in 1971 when he was 17.

Following an appearance as an extra in kung fu film A Touch Of Zen, he was signed to a new studio, the very same one that had the legendary Bruce Lee. Imagine how amazing that must have been for an aspiring actor, even if you were only hired as a stuntman for his movies. It was the opportunity of a lifetime, and one that you wouldn’t want to squander. But he did, and his career shortly hit a snag.

Later in the same year that he was signed to the new studio, he landed his first major acting role. It was released two years later in Hong Kong, and flopped miserably. A few failed movies later, and a lack of stunt work led the way to a desperate decision for Jackie Chan to star in a Adult film.

In 1975 the down and out actor was offered a role to appear in comedy Adult film, All in the Family. He played the role of a rickshaw driver. This movie contained one half of the only two sex scenes that he has ever starred in. This movie also holds the distinction of being the only movie that he has starred in to date that doesn’t contain a fight scene or stunt sequences. So how do you think Jackie Chan feels about starring in a Adult movie? Well, he doesn’t regret it at all. He said that he had to do whatever he could to survive. plus, the Adult movies of the mid 1970’s were a million miles away from what they are today.

I had to do anything I could to make a living 31 years ago, but I don’t think it’s a big deal, even Marlon Brando used to be exposed in his movies. The Adult movie at that time was more conservative than the current films.
